Amanda Seyfried and Thomas Sadoski engaged after dating for six months

Mean Girls star Amanda Seyfried and boyfriend Thomas Sadoski of The Newsroom are engaged after dating for six months.

Us Weekly reports that Sadoski, 40, popped the question to Seyfried, 30, who he started dating in March.

"Tommy and Amanda recently got engaged and shared the happy news with family and close friends," a source close to the co-stars tells Us.

The couple met while starring in the play The Way We Get By in 2015 and reconnected earlier this year when they started filming The Last Word.

Seyfried has been spotted around New York with an engagement ring.

It will be the second marriage for Sadoski who split from Kimberly Hope last year after eight years of marriage.

Seyfried has dated number of Hollywood hunks. She recently ended a two year relationship with Justin Long.

Before that she dated her Mamma Mia co-star Dominic Cooper, Ryan Phillippe and Josh Hartnett.
