Luuk de Jong (born August 27, 1990) is a Dutch professional footballer who plays as a striker for PSV Eindhoven in the Eredivisie and for the Netherlands national team.

Before joining PSV in 2014, De Jong had previously played for DZC ’68, De Graafschap, Twente, Borussia Mönchengladbach, and Newcastle United.

He appeared in over 200 games for the club, scoring over 100 goals and assisting them to three Eredivisie titles during his five-year tenure.

He joined Sevilla in 2019 before going on loan to Barcelona in 2021. In 2022, he rejoined PSV.

De Jong scored his first Eredivisie goal of the 2011-12 season in a 5-1 demolition of Heerenveen on August 20, 2011. The following week, on his 21st birthday, de Jong scored twice more as Twente thrashed VVV Venlo 4-1. De Jong scored two goals against Waalwijk on 21 January 2012, including a tap-in to an open goal and a penalty, as Twente won 5-0. De Jong netted a hat-trick, each goal coming off an assist from Ola John, and assisted Leroy Fer as Twente won 4-1 and climbed to second place in the league table in the following match against Groningen on 29 January. De Jong scored two more goals on February 10, but Twente missed out on a chance to go top of the league table, losing 3-2 at home to Heracles. De Jong’s two goals brought his total to seven in the last three Eredivisie games.
