Owen Leeper started skiing when he was four in Aspen. After competing in half-pipe and slopestyle events through college at the University of Colorado, and moved back to Aspen and began focusing on big mountain skiing.

Jackson became my new home in 2013, and was immediately able to push his skills in big mountain terrain. After the lifts close for the season, he takes his skis and heads towards the bigger peaks and couloirs throughout the west.

He has skied almost all of the peaks in the Tetons, including the Grand, Middle, and South Teton. Every year his goal was to ski as early as October and well into July.

Leeper sought help from another skier and was taken to the emergency room with the help of three people. He had minor injuries. He added that the avalanche forecast was moderate with sunny skies, and temperatures were in the high 20s at the upper elevation.
