Robert A. Baffert is widely known as an American racehorse trainer who took up the mantle to train 2015 Triple Crown winner American Pharoah and 2018 Triple Crown winner, Justify.
His horses have won six Kentucky Derbies, three Belmont Stakes, seven Preakness Stakes, and three Oaks races.
Robert Baffert got nurtured in Nogales, Arizona, that’s where his family raised cattle and chickens. His father bought some Quarter Horses and practiced them on a dirt track.
He worked as hockey for $100 a day in informal Quarter Horse races on the outskirts of Nogales when he was in his teens.
Since then Robert Baffert started racing at recognized tracks and at the age of 17 years he scored his first victory in 1970.
He completed the University of Arizona’s Race Track Industry Program and completed with a Bachelor of Science degree and started training quarter horses at a Prescott, Arizona farm.
Bob Baffert has since developed a reputation as a trainer and at the age of 20, he was hired by other trainers to run their stables.
